Pre-Literacy and Language – Baby Class
About This Course
This course introduces Baby Class (Nursery, ages 3–4) learners to pre-literacy and language skills in the Zambian language. It follows the official ECE curriculum for Listening & Speaking, focusing on conversations, family experiences, sounds, syllables, and pre-writing tracing.
Content is based on the Ministry of Education ECE Teaching Module, Term 2, Level 1 (3–4 years), under the 2023 Zambia Education Curriculum Framework.
Learning Objectives
Confident listening and speaking in the Zambian language
Ability to talk about family experiences (shopping, church)
Recognition of syllables in simple oral words
Pre-writing skills through tracing simple shapes
