Assessment
Creative and Performing Arts Pathway — Form 6
Assessment reviews what has been learned across the topic or course. It is not just a test — it is an opportunity to consolidate skills, identify gaps, and set targets for the future. Learners review key ideas, demonstrate learning through varied tasks, and reflect on their progress.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this lesson, learners will be able to:
- Review the main ideas from the topic or course
- Demonstrate learning through varied tasks (oral, written, practical)
- Reflect on strengths and areas for improvement
- Set two personal targets for the next stage
- Present a portfolio of work
Lesson Activities
- Review quiz (10 min): Quick oral quiz covering the main points.
- Written task (15 min): A short task testing understanding of the whole topic.
- Practical task (10 min): Where appropriate, a hands-on demonstration of a skill.
- Portfolio review (5 min): Learners look back at their work.
- Target setting (5 min): Each learner writes two targets.
Assessment
Use the assessment record sheet. Note each learner’s level against the objectives. Provide written feedback. Share results with parents where appropriate.
